Circle of Stones Jewelry has taken on a personal and humanitarian cause to honor the life of Helena Pippins, a beautiful, 17 year old girl that died in a car accident before Thanksgiving 2007.  Circle of Stones Jewelry has donated $1000 to the "Invisible Children" of Uganda, Africa in Helena's name after the 100th pair of earrings was sold.  This cause was close to Helena's heart so it is only appropriate that funds go to assist these suffering children in her name.

As a member of Hilde Girls, I knew Helena and her mother, Sue. The news of Helena's passing greatly moved me, even though I had only known her a short time. In honor and memory of Helena, I had a vision and was moved to create a pair of earrings for Sue, Helena's mother. Her best friend saw the earrings and called to order a pair. I had been recently praying for a sign as to what humanitarian cause my company could support. When I heard that Helena had raised money through her school to support The Invisible Children, the idea was born to donate a generous portion of the sell of each pair of Helena's Wings to a cause that was close to Helena's heart.

We reached our goal in February 2008! Your support in helping us reach this goal is so appreciated. Thank you to all who have shared this story with others and supported this cause through the purchase of Helena's Wings.

However, with permission from Helena's mother, Linda will continue to create and sell Helena's Wings to whomever my wish to purchase a pair.  Proceeds will continue to be donated to The Invisible Children of Uganda, Africa.

As a jewelry artist of healing jewelry, the stones used are a sacred component of my work. The stone used in this design is called Angelite. Mother Earth gave us this stone in 1987 - a recent discovery. It is believed that this stone has come into being to help us discover our own innate appreciation of the harmony among all living beings (physical and spiritual) and to powerfully and lovingly communicate that appreciation for others. I don't think there is a stone more fitting than this to symbolize Helena's life. Each pair is made in sacred circle with care, love, prayer, and healing intentions for the wearer.
